Joy exists because paediatric dentistry is not general dentistry performed on smaller people. The unit is specified around the appointment a child actually has: short, careful, and much easier when nothing about the room is intimidating.
Note that Joy is supplied with the mobile cart only; it cannot be upgraded to over-the-patient or under-the-patient hoses.

Sized and moved for children
The chair dimensions and the lift movements are specified for small patients: gentle, quiet and unhurried. A child who is not frightened by the chair is a child who sits still, and everything else follows from that.
Everything on the cart, nothing in the way
Joy is supplied only with the mobile cart. That is deliberate. The space above a small patient stays completely open, and the instruments come to you rather than hanging over a child's face.
Two colours, chosen by the people using it
Yellow or pink. Not a compromise on the standard palette but a decision: a paediatric room should not look like an adult surgery in a smaller size.
